Helping Hands

We talked about how many people help us daily, and how we help or can help others.  We did this project with the fifth graders.

Supplies:

  • White construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Colored pencils, colored markers or crayons
  • Black Sharpie

Directions:

  1. Lay your hand on the white paper and draw around your finger and up your wrist, so the drawing goes off the paper at the wrist.
  2. Turn your paper and repeat the above directions two more times.
  3. Using colored pencils, marker or crayons, color in all the spaces made.  No two touching spaces should be the same color.   Color the spaces outside the hands also.
  4. With the black Sharpie, trace around the hands you’ve drawn.

One Response to Helping Hands

  1. Theresa says:

Love it. I can see using it with St. Teresa’s prayer about being the hands of Jesus. Or as a class project, having everyone’s hand traced on the same paper and teaching about cooperation.
