BUNNY HOP

Start keeping your empty paper towel rolls so you can make a warren of bunnies for your table or mantle. This would be really cute sitting in the middle of a bunch of colored eggs or protecting a candy dish. The kids will love making these bunnies. Cover the paper towel roll with white (or brown, tan, grey or any pastel) paper. Color the bunny parts and glue to the roll. It’s as easy as that! Any class can make this project, “Paper Towel Roll Bunny,” so you’ll find it in the Easter Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

BUNNY WALL DECORATION

Hoppy Easter, reads this sign as a worn out bunny rests in a basket of eggs. The basket is made from a paper plate, folded in half. Patterns for the bunny head, feet, sign, flowers and eggs make this an easy project. Add a little Easter straw and find a place to hang this decoration on the wall with some Fun Tac. This project, “Paper Plate Easter Basket,” can be found in the Easter Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

EASTER, HE IS RISEN

Easter eggs, a smiling sun and “He is Risen” printed on a cloud, are the setting for a meaning of colors poem. I haven’t been able to find the name of the author of this poem to give credit. There are no rules to this project other than making sure to use at least one egg of each color mentioned in the poem. The directions for, “He is Risen,” can be found in the 1st Grade Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

EASTER BUNNY BASKET

Here’s a cute little bunny basket to hold a stash of Easter eggs or candy. A quick and easy little project that appears to take longer than it does.  Either let the bunny white, or use any pastel color. Easter bunnies, after all, come in many colors—I know that because I saw them at Walmart! This project, “Bunny Basket,” can be found in the Easter Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

BUNNY ANTICS

These bunnies appear ready to get on with the Easter egg distribution, or are they dancing? The patterns include a bunny face with features and one set of check-print arms and body. The other face is blank to be drawn in and a blank body and arms to be, or not, decorated. Put these posable bunnies together with paper fasteners. The directions for this project, “Posable Bunny,” is found in the Easter Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

CRITTERS FROM EASTER EGGS

Do you ever wonder what you can do with the plastic Easter eggs that seem to multiply each year? Our little Easter egg critters are one good use for them. These little critters would make a nice addition to an Easter centerpiece if you have young or young-at-heart guests. Very cute and easy to make, using supplies that you have on hand or inexpensive at the dollar store. Patterns for 2 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ plastic eggs. Directions for the project, “Easter Egg Critters,” can be found in the Easter Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

BUNNY FAMILY PICTURE

In this 3rd Grade project we find that the Bunny family is posing for a family picture and we have caught them in the act. Spring flowers and decorated Easter eggs make the family picture a keeper. We start out with five large circles and go step-by-step to make our drawing. There is just enough direction to give the kids ideas, but no real rules. Directions for, “Bunny Family,” can be found in the 3rd Grade Projects Gallery in the sidebar.
