It takes a lot of imagination to compare these candle bowls with the glass art of Dale Chihuly, but they are fun to make and the cost of making them is right.  We use coffee filters, colored tissue paper and spray starch to make our interpretation of Dale’s art.  The candles are battery operated tea lights. I think this would make a nice, inexpensive table decoration for a wedding or any party.  They would also make outstanding Christmas decorations.  I’ve included a couple of blog addresses so you can check out the Dale Chilhuly  art. For a better view of the bowls, click on the image at the left. Any age could do this project, “Coffee Filter Candle Bowl,” so I’ve listed it in the Miscellaneous Projects Gallery in the sidebar.
