Hot Air Balloons

Colorful hot air balloons filling the sky makes a person think, “What’s it look like from up there?”  We viewed a Power Point presentation of hot air balloons and then drew pictures of what we imagined.  I have included the Powerpoint presentation in the supplies list, but it takes a few seconds for it to download.

Supplies:

  • Hot Air Balloons (Powerpoint)
  • White construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Colors

Directions:

  1. Draw one or more hot air balloons.  Draw designs on the balloon.
  2. Imagine you are in a hot air balloon.  Draw what you see from the balloon.  Remember perspective, the farther away something is the smaller it is.
  3. Color the entire picture.
